Introducing Nursing and Allied Health Reference Source (NAHRS)

Thursday, 30 April, 2026

We are pleased to introduce Nursing and Allied Health Reference Source (NAHRS), newly available to health and social care staff in Scotland via The Knowledge Network. NAHRS is a comprehensive resource covering four areas – rehabilitation, nursing, nutrition and social work. It replaces Nursing Reference Centre and Rehabilitation Reference Centre, bringing together and expanding their range of curated, evidence-based content.

Nursing and Allied Health Reference Source is up to date, summarises the most current research, and is easy to use, allowing users to browse by: topic; age group; profession; gender; and content type. It also offers personalised dashboards for saved searches and alerts, help with citations, and multiple search and filter options to make it easy to find what you need.

Content includes:

  • Care sheets
  • Clinical reviews
  • Exercise images
  • Practice and skill resources
  • Quick lessons
  • Research instruments
  • Textbooks and manuals
  • Videos
