October is Health Literacy month

Tuesday, 23 September, 2025

Information about health is everywhere and sifting out what is useful and trustworthy can be difficult and confusing. The ability to gain access to, understand and use information to make choices is important to help people manage their own health and care.

To mark Health Literacy Month, NHS Scotland Library and Knowledge Services are hosting a series of learning events and have developed new resources to support awareness and action.
