In the last 12 months NHS Scotland OpenAthens account holders conducted 1,333,559 journal article downloads. That's 3,653 articles every day!

Following our recent updates to our digital library resources, NES Knowledge Services have worked hard to maintain access for health and social care staff to over 4,000 journals. These include key publications such as the BMJ collections, The Lancet and JAMA, as well as a range of specialised collections. Formerly British Journal of Child Health and Journal of Health Visiting (you can still access archives of these titles via our previous subscriptions). Journal of Family and Child Health was launched to support the broad range of professionals caring for children aged 0–19 and the clinical areas covered in their daily practice. Includes articles on public health, mental health and wellbeing, safeguarding, and special and complex needs. Experts in the field also publish commentaries on a variety of issues currently affecting practitioners.
