Respiratory Health Community of Practice
Over the past few years most NHS Boards have established a Respiratory Managed Clinical Network (MCN) to provide a specialist clinical advisory function in the planning and co-ordination of services across the board area. In response to this the National Advisory Group for Respiratory MCN's has been established as a mechanism to foster respiratory health, to improve the quality of care for patients with respiratory disease and to encourage the implementation of good practice by sharing information throughout Scotland.
The Respiratory Health Community of Practice has been established to provide members of Respiratory MCNs with a resource to facilitate this communication and mutual learning. The website is an evolving resource that will be further developed to meet the needs of the community. The immediate aims of the site are to:
- Provide a comprehensive library of respiratory evidence based practice
- Share information on good practice
- Share clinical & service models across NHSScotland
- Facilitate national consultations
- Provide a Scottish Respiratory Clinical Discussion Forum
- Disseminate outcomes of the Respiratory MCN Learning Forum
- Establish hyperlinks to associated national initiatives.
