NHS ELITE (beta)

NHS ELITE is an introductory IT skills e-Learning course developed by the Connecting for Health programme in NHS England, in partnership with the British Computing Society. NHS ELITE has been made available to NHS Scotland for one year from Nov 2010 - Oct 2011 using ACS Project funding (Administrative and Support Services staff).

NHS ELITE (NHS E-learning IT Essentials) is an introductory IT skills qualification that aims to cover the key skills that an NHS member of staff will need to be able to use clinical and knowledge systems at work. 

NHS ELITE covers a whole range of learning outcomes. These include the real basics, such as how to use a mouse and a keyboard, through to more advanced skills like using Windows, working with files and applications and how to operate email and the internet.

This project aims to implement and evaluate the Elite training package in NHS Boards across Scotland, providing evidence on which to base continuation of the license.
